Tapu-te-Ranga Trust Board

I was born and raised at the rekereke of my pāpā, Bruce Stewart and share in the vision that is Tapu Te Ranga Marae and look forward to helping rebuild our papa kāinga in service of our whānau and wider hāpori.

I am passionate about the development of reo for our tamariki and have found a meaningful career as a kaiako kōhanga reo.

Still living on the whenua with my whānau, we continue caring for our tāiao and revitalising te reo Māori me ōna tikanga within our whānau.

Kei reira tōku waka o Te Arawa e tau ana, e kawe ana i ōna uri.

Tēnā tātou, I grew up on the side of dads bulldozer. One day he got a digger and I waited impatiently for it to be my turn…. He said it takes 20 years on a shovel before you’re allowed a turn on the digger. Turns out that rule only applies at Tapu te Ranga, there are much faster ways. But that time on the side of Dad’s machinery has been a cornerstone of my chosen path.

In between owning my own businesses, studying te reo, outdoor leadership, health science contracting as a carpenter, I’ve always come back to the construction industry. I’ve since undertaken study in Civil Engineering and have progressed to manage some major construction projects around the motu.

I’ve a passion for marking out development pathways of aspiring youth, especially rangatahi Māori and a Keen eye for project delivery.

I put my name forward to the Marae community to be considered for a position on the trust in the hope that my construction management experience could be utilised in this phase of TTR. I was appointed by the Marae Community in 2023

    Toitu te Tiriti!
